What is lucid dreaming? By definition any dream in which the dreamer is aware they are dreaming. I’ve done this for some time now, but I don’t dream as much as I used to. I don’t sleep a whole lot either at one time. A lot of my days it’s broken up into two to three naps throughout the day. Back to being lucid, I assume by the fact you are reading this you are awake. Do you know you are awake? If that is true than you are currently lucid. If this happens while you are sleep within a dream then you’re lucid dreaming. I wanted to share the benefits of lucid dream and how you can use it to improve your life.
- Is something bogging you down? Writers block? Do you sometimes just don’t know? Overcome these obstacles during your sleep. The brain can accomplish some incredible things whiles it’s sleeping, so don’t miss out or forget it ever happens. A lot of the time when I do dream I forget seconds maybe a minute or two after awaking.
- Learning to control your dreams can prevent and/or alter bad dreams. I’m sure you’ve heard someone say or have experienced a dream you awoke from that felt real AF. Well turn that to a nightmare and you immediately understand why you’d want out of that trap. With that being said just the simple act of knowing it’s a dream can stop a nightmare. Just like when you are awake it is apparent to decipher the real from the fake.
- If you find yourself questioning your dreams and/or asking others there opinions than lucid dreaming can help you in regards to the symbol that is your mind. For example some people have had dreams they are falling and believe that it’s real. One way to perceive this would be one’s fear of losing control of a relationship. Being able to recognize these things can help you stay on path and really conquer fears you may not even know you have.
Now that you know please take the time to learn on your own. It may require some dedication, practice and patience, but all of that will be rewarded. Peace of mind can’t be bought and will forever be sought.
