How Alcohol Effects The Body

Like most things in life when enjoyed in moderation are fine, but consuming too much of any one thing isn’t going to have the best outcome. 🙁 I mean people can drink too much water! With that being said I’m going to touch on alcohol today because somebody asked me to mention it on this platform. Now I’m not telling you that you shouldn’t drink at all so don’t think this is an Alcoholic Anonymous blog post. I just don’t want to see ignorance hurt or kill people as I’ve heard alcohol has a tendency to do so when consumed heavily over long periods of time or on a single occasion. Think about all of the things you wont drink or put into your body because you were told they’d kill you. #AnythingUnderTheSink So why do we continue to use alcohol? Well that’s a different blog for another day. Here you will learn what that drink is doing to your body.

Drinking TOO much can take a great toll on your health. The following is how it affects your body:

    • Alcohol can affect the way the brain looks and works. This can alter ones mood and behavior making it harder to think and move.
    • Irregular Heart Beat
    • Stroke
    • Stretching of Heart Muscle
    • Inflammations
    • Alcoholic Hepatitis
    • Fibrosis
    • A dangerous swelling of the blood vessels that prevents proper digestion as the alcohol makes the pancreas produce toxic substances which lead to pancreatitis.
    • Increased Risk
    • Esophagus
    • Breast
    • Throat
    • Drinking TOO much on a single occasion slows your body’s ability to fend off infections for up to 24 hours after being drunk.

Now that you have an even better understanding of how alcohol’s impact on your health you can make more inform decisions when it comes to drinking. I know you see that “drink responsibly” shit all the time! That doesn’t just mean not to get behind the wheel.
